Exquisite Life

You as an individual can, with or without the help of an interior designer create your own look. When trying to decide which look best suits you, the following should be considered:
· What it is that draws you to that particular room; could it be the arrangement and/or style of the furnitures, or the colour(s) of the walls or perhaps it may be the type of floor covering.
· Is it a practical style for you and how it can be recreated
· Will it work in your room or suit your lifestyle.

If the use of an interior designer is required, it is important that you as a client select for yourself. This is essential as you might feel the need to identity with the furnitures and fabrics in the place. In order words, the interior designer might be used just as a guide due to their professional point of view. However, in some designing projects, you might have to rely entirely on the interior designer.

The key to deciding a room's overall scheme will depend on the style or type of decoration that you as an individual opt for. This may be decided by inspiration, which can be derived from; finding a curtain fabric: this in turn may lead you to use the colours in the pattern. In other words, the colours in the pattern may lead to buying a painting or a piece of furniture or a handmade piece of craft work. The wealth of materials and finishes available may also be explored if art works are not your thing.

Basic Advise
· Create a mood board for each room
· All decorative items such as curtains, wall colours, furnishings and carpets should be harmonious. Use pictures as inspiration for your choice of furniture colour
· Link an eclectic mix of furniture by some other means. In cases like this, in order to bring the pieces together, the back ground element plays an important role.
· Brass, glass or gold/silver may be added to a scheme in order to prevent the scheme from looking dull. In addition to this it is important to note that glass can be used to create an illusion of space.
